Fill the Hive: Mini Donuts & Giving Back

We need your help!

We’re asking you to collect nonperishable foods or baby items to help support fellow Bloom patients and their families as a new school year begins.
​
During TWO special weekends this fall, kids can bring in a bag of donations (see examples below) and enjoy FREE mini donuts from the Detroit Mini Donut food truck on us!
​
Your donations will stock The Hive, a space in our Detroit office where Bloom families can pick up food and other essential items they might need after their appointment.
The “Fill the Hive” food drive is part of our fall vaccine clinic series, where kids can enjoy a fun activity at Bloom each weekend after their flu or COVID vaccine appointment.

If your child is due for a flu or COVID vaccine, schedule an appointment through the Patient Portal: My Kid’s Chart or call our office. Already vaccinated? No problem! Kids can still participate in the food drive and enjoy free mini donuts with their donation!

Fall Vaccine Clinics Are Back at Bloom Pediatrics

Fall is just around the corner, which means our weekend vaccine clinics are back at Bloom Pediatrics! From September through November, we’re making it easier for families to get their family’s flu and COVID vaccines while adding a little extra fun to the experience.

Staying up to date on recommended vaccines is an important part of keeping children healthy and helping protect families, schools and our community during respiratory illness season.

Weekend vaccine clinics will be available at all four Bloom Pediatrics offices, with something special planned for kids at each location.

Schedule online through the Patient Portal: My Kid’s Chart, or call our office to book your family’s flu and/or COVID vaccine appointment during one of the weekends below.

Birmingham

Our Birmingham office will feature a different family-friendly activity throughout the fall.

Sept. 5–6: Ray’s Ice Cream
Cool down after your child’s vaccine with a treat from Ray’s.

Sept. 12–13: Mad Science Experiments
Enjoy bubbling potion experiments and plenty of fun with a mad scientist.

Sept. 19–20: Tie-Dye T-Shirts
Add some color to vaccine day with a tie-dye activity from Brightly Twisted.

Sept. 26–27: Detroit Mini Donut Food Truck! 🍩
Mini donuts + giving back = a pretty sweet weekend! Bring food items from our requested donation list and let your kids help us “Fill the Hive” by loading donations into our box truck. Then, enjoy free mini donuts from the Detroit Mini Donut Truck!

Oct. 3–4: Mini Golf
Take a swing at mini golf in our Birmingham parking lot.

Oct. 10–11: Pumpkin Picking
Get into the fall spirit and take home a pumpkin! Pumpkins will be available at our Birmingham, Bloomfield and Southfield offices.

Oct. 17–18: Make a Stuffy
Create a special stuffed friend to take home with Friendship Factory.

Oct. 24–25: Detroit Mini Donut Food Truck! 🍩

Oct. 31: Halloween Trunk-or-Treat
Celebrate Halloween with a fun trunk-or-treat experience at our Birmingham office.

Nov. 1, 7–8: Glitter Tattoos
Add some sparkle to vaccine day with glitter tattoos from Cherri Paints.

Nov. 14–15, 21: Strolling Magic Show
Enjoy a strolling magic show featuring Jasen Magic.

Bloomfield + Southfield offices: Enjoy a delicious cake pop on your way home baked by one of our very own Bloom Pediatrics nurses.

Detroit office: Dive into our Under the Sea theme and let your child choose a special item from our treasure chest after their vaccine visit.

Need a weekday evening appointment? Some weeknight vaccine appointments will be available throughout the fall. Call our office for availability.

Caring for Our Community: The Hive Drive

Bloom Pediatrics is collecting donations to help stock The Hive, a space in our Detroit office filled with essential items for families in our Bloom community. We’re also gathering non-perishable foods to create Bumble Boxes, which are available in each of our offices for families who may need extra resources.

The Birmingham Downtown Shopping District is doing another outdoor kid’s movie! The August movie is Despicable Me at Booth Park. People start coming early (6pm) to put their blankets on the grass, and Bloom Pediatrics will be there handing out treats. We hope to see you there!
