Medical Assistant
Bloom Pediatrics is seeking a friendly, energetic, and highly motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing pediatric practice. This role is essential to delivering high-quality, compassionate care in a fast paced, multi-office environment. Bloom Pediatrics operates out of four locations in Metro Detroit: Birmingham, Bloomfield, Southfield, and Detroit, MI. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with children of all ages and their families, thrives in a busy clinical setting, and is passionate about providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and document patient vitals, medical history, and intake information prior to provider visits
- Prepare patients and exam rooms for physician evaluation
- Administer pediatric immunizations and vaccines according to established protocols
- Accurately document all clinical information in the electronic medical record
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and parents, ensuring a welcoming and supportive experience
- Maintain clinic flow in a high-volume environment across multiple locations
- Adhere to all safety, infection control, and HIPAA regulations
- Support clinic operations, including room turnover and supply management
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting (pediatric experience preferred)
- Knowledge of pediatric vaccines and comfort administering immunizations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Friendly, energetic, and professional demeanor
- Comfortable interacting with both children and parents
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work evenings and weekends as required
- COVID (primary series) and annual flu vaccines are required.
