Our Pediatric Urgent Care service gives Bloom families access to extended sick care with pediatric-trained providers, right here at Bloom. Unlike traditional urgent care centers that see patients of all ages, our urgent care is designed exclusively for children. We can evaluate and treat a wider range of urgent illnesses and injuries while keeping your child’s care within the Bloom Pediatrics team.

Insurance
Urgent care visits are billed through Bloom Pediatrics rather than as a separate urgent care facility. Your usual office visit copay applies, based on your insurance plan.

Appointments are required. We do not accept walk-ins.
Call Bloom Pediatrics to schedule. Urgent care appointments cannot currently be scheduled through the patient portal.
Bloom Pediatrics Urgent Care Services
Our pediatric urgent care team can evaluate and treat urgent illnesses and injuries that may require more care than a typical sick visit, including:
- Lacerations and wounds that may need stitches
- Objects in the nose, ears or skin
- Respiratory illnesses that may require breathing treatments
- Vomiting and diarrhea that may require IV fluids
- Illnesses or injuries that need more immediate attention than a routine sick visit
- Our team can also provide additional respiratory support and treatment for children who need a higher level of care than is typically available during a primary care sick visit.
- Suspected broken bone? Call us first. We currently do not offer x-ray services, but our team can help determine the next step and provide a splint when appropriate.

Do I need an appointment?
Yes. Pediatric urgent care visits are by appointment only. Please call our office to schedule a same-day appointment. We do not accept walk-ins.
Why choose Bloom Pediatric Urgent Care?
Traditional urgent care centers see patients of all ages, including adults, older adults and children. At Bloom, we only care for children. Our pediatric-trained providers and nursing team understand the unique needs of kids and are equipped to provide care specifically designed for them, including breathing treatments, IV fluids and laceration repairs when needed.
Who will care for my child?
Our pediatric urgent care team includes Bloom nurses and dedicated Pediatric Nurse Practitioners who provide urgent care separately from our primary care providers.
What if I’m not sure if my child needs urgent care?
Call us first. Our nursing and front desk teams can help determine whether your child should be seen by their primary care provider, scheduled with urgent care or evaluated in an emergency department.
What if my child’s condition is more serious than expected?
If your child’s condition requires a higher level of care, our team will help determine the safest next step and direct you to the appropriate care.

Will my insurance cover the urgent care visit?

What if I am not a Bloom Pediatrics patient?
We are happy to see your child, once we have verified their vaccination records. When calling for an appointment, written consent will be obtained for us to access your child’s vaccination record via email or text. Once we’ve confirmed your child’s vaccination record is up to date, our team will schedule an appointment.
