Kathleen Asmar DNP, RN, CPNP-PC She/Her

Kathleen Asmar is a metro Detroit native. She graduated from Saint Mary’s College, Notre Dame, Indiana with her BSN. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona and worked at St. Joseph’s hospital on the Couplet Care and Pediatric units for 3 years before returning to the Detroit area. She worked at Children’s Hospital of Michigan in the Emergency Department for nearly 6 years.

Kathy attended the University of Arizona, College of Nursing and was awarded Masters of Science in Nursing and Doctorate of Nursing Practice degrees specializing in pediatrics. She is a board-certified pediatric nurse practitioner in primary care.

Kathy has been practicing as a PNP in primary care for over 12 years. She loves the continuity of primary care, the relationships developed with families, and the opportunities to watch children grow and thrive.

Outside of work, Kathy enjoys spending time with her husband, little boy, and rescue pup. She loves going to the lake during the summer and cheering on Notre Dame in the fall.
