Why do we vaccinate? Vaccines save lives.

At Bloom Pediatrics, we believe that all children should receive the recommended vaccines according to the guidelines provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP). Vaccines are safe and effective in preventing diseases and health complications in children and young adults. Regular vaccinations help children ward off infections, and are administered as one of the safest and best methods of disease prevention.

Caring for Children in Metro Detroit for Over 40 Years

Bloom Pediatrics is proudly owned and led by local pediatricians and working moms, Dr. Anna Groebe and Dr. Katie Schafer. Built on compassionate, evidence-based care and a deep understanding of today’s busy families, Bloom offers four convenient Metro Detroit locations, extended hours, and 24/7 on-call physicians, making high-quality pediatric care accessible when families need it most.

We love to meet new families!

Whether you are expecting a newborn, have recently moved to our area, or are looking for a new medical home for your children, we thank you for trusting us with your child’s health. We welcome new patients starting at birth to age 17 years.

Meet the doctors of Bloom Pediatrics.

Bloom Pediatrics has been serving our community for over 40 years.  All of our physicians are board certified and fellows of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

We accept most insurance plans.

Because each insurance policy is different, it is important to contact your insurance company if you have any questions regarding your benefits, and to know what your payment obligations will be at the time of service.

Take the “pain” out of pain reliever dosing.

Be confident that you are treating your child’s pain or fever with the correct dose of medication. We can guide you here on how much Motrin or Tylenol to give, based on your child’s weight. (Benadryl too!)

Online resources you can trust.

Our A to Z Resource Guide provides you with reliable online resources, recommended reading, and helpful tools to guide you in caring for your child.
